Terms of use

Last updated 12 October 2026

These terms govern your use of the Arti app and services, provided by Arti (operator details to be completed before launch), Prague, Czech Republic ("we"). By using Arti you agree to them. Our privacy policy explains how we handle personal data.

1. Educational purpose — not medical advice

Arti helps medical students learn and revise. Content, cases, scores, XP and badges are study aids. They are not clinical guidance, do not replace your curriculum, supervisors, current guidelines or professional judgement, and must not be used to diagnose or treat real patients. Clinical cases are fictional. We review content carefully but cannot guarantee it is complete, current or error-free; please report errors in the app.

2. Your account

You must be at least 16 years old. Keep access to your sign-in method secure; you are responsible for activity on your account. Usernames, display names and avatars must not impersonate others or be offensive. You may delete your account at any time in Settings.

3. Fair play

Leagues, streaks, quests and class leaderboards rely on honest learning. Do not use automation, exploit bugs, share accounts or manipulate rankings. We may reset progress, remove learners from leaderboards or suspend accounts that break these rules, after informing you where reasonably possible.

4. Virtual items

Pulses, Coins, streak freezes and profile styles are virtual items with no monetary value. They cannot be exchanged for money or transferred, and we may rebalance them to keep the game fair.

5. Arti Vital subscription

Arti Vital is an auto-renewing subscription sold through Apple's App Store. Payment, renewal, cancellation and refunds are handled by Apple under its terms; manage or cancel it in your Apple ID settings at least 24 hours before the period ends. Consumers in the EU have a 14-day right of withdrawal for digital services; by starting to use Vital immediately you request that the service begins during that period. Refund requests go to Apple.

6. Intellectual property

The app, content, mascot and design belong to us or our licensors. You may use them for your personal study. You keep the rights to feedback you send but allow us to use it to improve Arti.

7. Availability and changes

We work to keep Arti available but may change, suspend or discontinue features, for example for maintenance or content updates. Where changes to these terms materially affect you, we will tell you in the app in advance.

8. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including for intent, gross negligence or harm to life and health. Otherwise, we are liable only for foreseeable damage caused by breach of essential obligations. We are not liable for decisions made on the basis of educational content in a clinical setting.

9. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by Czech law; mandatory consumer protection of your country of residence is unaffected. Consumers may use out-of-court dispute resolution through the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (adr.coi.cz) or the EU online dispute resolution platform.
